Engine: Medieval Builder is being developed using Godot, a powerful and versatile engine.
Building System: The core building system is up and running. You can now create a variety of medieval structures, including houses, taverns, and dungeons, on a grid-based layout. The focus has been on making the building process intuitive and enjoyable.
Upcoming Features
While the current version of Medieval Builder focuses on construction, the ultimate goal is to evolve it into a full-fledged RPG. Here’s a glimpse of what’s planned:
Combat System: Work has begun on implementing the combat system. This will allow players to engage in battles as they explore the medieval world.
Quests: A rich quest system will provide players with engaging tasks.
Dungeons: More intricate dungeons are being designed for players to explore and conquer.
Magic System: Players will be able to use magical powers in a inovative way.
Leveling System: Character progression through experience and leveling up will enhance the RPG elements.
Cities: The game will feature vibrant cities with NPCs, shops, and activities.
What’s Next?
The focus for the upcoming weeks will be on refining the combat system and starting to integrate basic RPG elements. This will include designing enemy types, implementing combat mechanics, and creating the initial framework for quests and magic.
Thank you for joining me on this journey. Your feedback and support are invaluable as we continue to build and expand Medieval Builder. Stay tuned for more updates, and happy building!
